Meet Ernie

I first started playing music as a drummer. After my first gig at 14, I figured out very quickly that I am too much of a hambone to be stuck behind a drum kit. So, wanting to be like my older brother, I took up the guitar. I found out early that I took to it like a duck to water. I think my brother was secretly mad at me for being able to figure out songs very easily that he couldn't.

Playing guitar opened up a whole new world for me! I love interacting with the crowd and being totally unpredictable. You could usually find me walking on the bar or table tops. I have even been known to sit down in the laps of big burley bikers, singing a ballad. I've mellowed out quite a bit since I've gotten older, but don't be surprised though, if you find me wandering the crowd, sneaking up behind somebody and scaring the daylights out of them; or embarassing someone by singing with my head on their shoulder.

I have opened up for such artists like, David Allen Coe, Johnny Paycheck, Confederate Railroad, and Rick Derringer just to name a few.

I've been truly blessed by being welcomed in to a group of such high caliber musicians who are an absolute pleasure to work with! Look forward to seeing you all soon out on the road!
