While
helping my uncle deliver 7-UP to an armory in Elkins, West Virginia, I
saw a Faron Young show. I was only 10 or 11, but I was hooked on country
music. At age 13, I asked my friends’ dad, James Murphy, to show
me some chords on one of his guitars. Shortly after, James and I started a band. A few years later I bought a pedal steel guitar and taught myself to play. I’ve played with a lot of people in a lot of places. Playing with this accomplished group, Flat Out, is by far one of my favorite things. -Charlie |
